No one looks forward to Christmastime more than a child does.
Many of you will agree when I say that kids — who are the most genuine, sweet, and kindhearted beings among all humans — also deserve the best for Christmas.
Unfortunately, not all children get to experience the warmest celebration of their dreams…
That's why we are so grateful to the kind souls out there who have dedicated their time to making sure all children feel loved, like this wonderful mom who threw birthday parties for homeless kids.
For the fifth year in a row, the Oxnard PD's SWAT team has gone to one very special school to hand out presents to the students and spread Christmas cheer.
It was truly so heartwarming to see the smiles they left on the children's faces…

Christmas is a time for all to revel and rejoice, but it is an especially unique occasion for children, the sweetest and most innocent beings on Earth.
And this year, countless schoolchildren across the country will be celebrating their hearts out for Christmas.
Yesterday morning, grade school students at Phoenix Los Nogales School in Camarillo, CA, received the surprise of their lives.
Phoenix Los Nogales is a highly specialized school for children with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
Operated by the Ventura County Office of Education, the school offers a great structured learning environment for the kids, and is one of few schools on the West Coast that pays such close attention to the needs of every individual student.
Shortly after arriving at school in the morning, students were surprised by a fleet of serious-looking men in uniforms.
They were the SWAT team of the Oxnard Police Department.
But they weren’t here on any serious business — they were here to gift the kids with the most unexpected Christmas cheer ever!
The SWAT team members brought all the kids bright and colorful wrapped gifts.
Inside the packages? Brand new shoes for every student!
In addition to awesome new sneakers, the kids also opened up wrapped gifts of lovely t-shirts and winter gloves.
This year, footwear company New Balance provided a great discount for their shoes, so, for the fifth year in a row, Oxnard PD’s SWAT team decided to donate shoes to the school.
This isn’t the only thing the Oxnard Police are doing for kids this Christmas.
Along with the Fire Department, the police force hosted its fifth Annual Heroes and Helpers Shop with a Cop event at Target.
Every grade school student was paired with an Officer, and treated to a $200 shopping spree!
We are so proud of the Oxnard PD, and other generous, courageous servicemen out there this Christmas season.
We hope that the students at Phoenix Los Nogales School will cherish their gifts, and have the most wonderful of celebrations.
