She Swirls Chocolate And Vanilla In A Pan And Takes Breakfast To A Whole New Level!

Nathan Shields started making pancake art for his two children, Gryphon and Alice, a few years ago. His elaborate pancake designs range from the Beatles to Disney princesses — and now his creations are creating a whole new niche among cooks who are piggybacking off his genius ideas.

Our pals at BuzzFeed have taken pancake art to a new level with their latest video, Your Week In Pancake Art. They hired a pancake art aficionado to make incredible, edible art in the form of our favorite animals. They even take it a step further by creating one pancake that looks like viral animal star Grumpy Cat.

To make the pancakes, the food artist uses a batter-filled squeeze bottle to draw the outline of each animal, and lets the lines cook slightly. Then, the gaps are filled with more batter, usually of a different and darker color. The artist appears to use plain flour mix and a chocolate version to skillfully sketch out the outline of the seven animals — one for each day of the week.

The artist's freehand drawing skills are truly a sight to behold and definitely took breakfast to a whole new level.

Wait until you see what they create. It's so cool you probably won't want to eat it — but let's be honest. Pancakes have never looked this good!

Enjoy! And please SHARE this with your friends.
