Did you know this was even possible? Jami from "An Oregon Cottage" has brought us an amazing, inexpensive way to totally revamp any room in the house. If you have ever wanted the look of hardwood floors but couldn't afford it, this is the perfect solution. The total cost of the project is $65! All you need is brown craft paper or a few hundred paper bags, a big bottle of Elmer's glue, and some polyurethane. With torn-up pieces of brown craft pape,r you'll be amazed at the stunning finished look. (If you want something even more unique, try this floor made of pennies!)
In the video below, Jami covers her entire daughter's bedroom floor with brown paper pieces. She glues each piece on and lets the glue dry for 24 hours. Then she puts on several coats of polyurethane. Then she lets it dry. The shocking part? When she shows it to her husband, she thinks the project is a failure because the floor is too lumpy. But when they wait a couple more days, it evens out and looks amazing! The couple say it will take at least five years to see any wear in the floor. I think you're going to be pretty surprised that a few pieces of brown paper bag turned into this!
