What seemed like an ordinary workday for Emily McKenzie turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of her life.
On October 2, 2015, the Reno, NV-based paramedic was about to end her shift when she received a call about a person going into cardiac arrest.
"It wouldn't be a Friday without a late call," she’s heard saying in the video.
Once she got to the scene, McKenzie discovered there was an elderly male who collapsed on the floor while setting up for an impending event. The paramedic quickly started getting all the equipment she needed ready in an effort to save his life.
But moments later, she was shocked to discover that there wasn’t a person in need of any medical attention. Instead, it was all a terrifying setup for an epic proposal by her beau, firefighter Nik Raw.
Like the man who set up a fake volleyball game to pop the question and the one who took a whole year to create his proposal, this one will certainly bring a smile to your face.
What’s even better? McKenzie’s family and friends were even in on the surprise and popped up at the very end.
