Paris has proven to be a human Barbie, a bodacious blonde and a woman of all trades: a DJ, the girl next door, an actress, and a vixen. Why shouldn't she be "Commander-in-Bikini," too?
What I love about this video is that it's Paris Hilton making fun of herself and politics. She's clearly got a strong idea of how people perceive her, but all of us Paris fans know she is far more than what meets the eye. Plus, who doesn't love a lady who has a sense of humor about herself?
Paris plays on the "dumb blonde" stereotype when she sings, "When they tell you bout my policies / To stop the player hating on the USA / Nuclear nonproliferation and ratify Kyoto today / You can light in the motorcade in my hyper pink Escalade." Yeah, Paris is a blonde, but she knows her stuff.
What's also impeccable is how Paris makes fun of how narrow politics are today: "Not another oldie cliché / Paris for president! / You can get married if you're straight or if you're gay," she sings, and you're pretty convinced to vote for her.
The music video is a perfect representation of why Paris is a genius (and an excellent candidate): She gives the people what they want.
