I couldn't stop holding my breath. The video is short but anxiety inducing.
As someone who is terrified — and I mean terrified! — of heights, this man's talent is literally my worst nightmare.
He stands on the ledge of a building. I have no idea how he got there — but I'm sure it's not totally legal. The guy jumps from ledge to ledge, which is equally as adrenaline-inducing as the time this guy did a handstand on the ledge of a building!
Why would anyone do this, you ask? Good question. This daredevil style of athleticism is called parkour.
Parkour was coined by French Naval Officer Georges Herbert during World War I. He began to incorporate movements practiced by the indigenous communities he encountered in Africa, into naval training. The idea is to get from point A to point B via the quickest route possible, no matter how many obstacles stand in the person's way. That means jumping off ledges, scaling walls, flipping through the air — all kinds of things that seem humanly impossible.
It turns out they're totally possible after all.
I don't know how you find out how you can physically do this without nearly dying but I do know that you definitely have to watch this video!
