This is so terrifying — thank goodness no one was hurt and heroes were on board.
All was quiet on a 2021 Delta flight from Los Angeles to Nashville when suddenly a male passenger flew into a fit of rage. The "seemingly unprovoked" man stood up from his seat and attempted to smash his way into the cockpit.
He reportedly rushed the cockpit and began banging on the door while screaming, "Stop this plane!"
In footage recorded by passengers' phones, a flight attendant named Christopher Williams — along with another traveler and air crew — wrestled the unruly man to the ground, pinned him down, and tied his hands up with zip ties.
After dragging him away from the pilot's cabin, Christopher was photographed looking exhausted and emotional.
But thanks to the quick-thinking and lifesaving actions of these people, the plane was able to make an emergency landing in New Mexico without any further issues.
