Adorable Rescue Kittens Play Baseball In “Paw Star Game”

Good news for fans of the annual "Kitten Bowl." For those who can't wait until Super Bowl Sunday for that adorable dose of cuteness, the Hallmark Channel has debuted "Paw Star Game," which follows the adorable antics of kittens as they "play" baseball.

Each week, viewers will be able to cheer on their favorite kittens with names like Derek Cheetah, Joe DiMeowgio, Mickey Meowntle, and Darryl Pawberry!

"We had so much success playfully mimicking the Super Bowl, and it did so much good for kittens and animals overall, that we looked for other opportunities like it," said Bill Abbott, president and chief executive officer of Hallmark Channel's parent company, Crown Media Family Networks. "Shows like these certainly help people see the cuteness and the beauty of these animals."

In the preview video below, New York Yankees' iconic radio announcer John Sterling and sports analyst Mary Carillo provide commentary and play-by-play action. The kittens take the field to swat balls and pounce around the baseball diamond. These cuties even take a quick snooze on the pitcher's mound during the 7th inning stretch.

Since the show began filming, the Paw Star Game helped more than 90 kittens get adopted from two New York shelters!
