Grandma Walks Away From Hijacking Unscathed Thanks To Perfume

Criminals often prey on older folks because they are perceived as the most vulnerable. One 61-year-old grandmother, Joyce Kenney, fell victim to a maniac that ambushed her as she left her Ohio home. The man came up to her as she was exiting her house, demanded she get into the car, and ordered her to drive him.

Kenney feared for her life, but her survival instincts began to kick in. She drove 70 to 80 mph hoping an officer on patrol would pull her over for speeding. When that didn't work, she noticed a bottle of perfume she kept in the side of the car door.

“I picked this cologne up and I sprayed him in the eyes, and of course he grabbed his eyes cause it burned,” Kenney said.

She kicked the man out of the car door. The maniac fell out. She drove to a gas station and called 911. The experience was terrifying for her, but also empowering.

“Don’t think you can’t do something cause you’re scared, I found that out, and I saw his body hit the ground,” she said.

Kenney got away completely unharmed. Now, she is always going to be sure to keep her handy bottle of perfume with her at all times!
