Woman Gets Ready To Race Mascot At Game, Has No Clue It’s Her Soldier Fiancé Home From War

In terms of surprise reunions, this one was actually pretty intense. Of course, no matter how many of these reunion videos we watch, they always tug at our heartstrings because we understand the longing that comes with missing someone, and the amazing happiness that comes when you finally see them again. Imagine how this dad felt when the daughter he hadn't seen in 10 years popped out of this box, or this young man with Down syndrome who thought he would barely see his big brother after he moved across an ocean. In the video below, when this soldier surprises his girlfriend with his return, he decided to do something very unique.

Thanks to the efforts of the Sanderson Ford company in Phoenix, Arizona, and the Phoenix Suns professional basketball organization, Army Sergeant Bruce Merrill was able to pull off the surprise of a lifetime.

The soldier, who has just returned from a tour in Iraq, had been working on this surprise since October of 2016!

"The hardest thing has been not telling her. I can't keep secrets from her," he said.

Well, luckily he did. His surprise was part of a season-long campaign called "Seats For Soldiers," hosted by Sanderson Ford at the Suns' home games.

The surprise involved a giant, inflatable gorilla suit, and a "race."

After the first quarter of the game between the Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, February 4, the surprise was on!

I won't spoil it for you — check out the video below and please SHARE this heartwarming reunion with your friends and family on Facebook!
