But for Wheatley's birthday, the Kentucky squad pulled out all of the stops to give him the birthday of his dreams.
Having always wanted to be a police officer himself, he was made into an honorary law force official and got to spend his entire day hanging out with the officers and living like they do.

Brennan Wheatley, who has always wanted to be a police officer, got a super-sweet surprise for his birthday.
The Campbellsville, KY, Police Department made his wish come true by making him an honorary cop for the today.
The squad came together, offering selfies, squad car rides, and some seriously cool uniform pieces to contribute to the birthday.
Along with uniform, Wheatley was also sworn in as an honorary officer by Campbellsville's Mayor Tony Young!
His police uniform definitely came with the works, including a hat, a cool utility belt, and his own monogramed badge.
He also got to pose for photos with many of his hardworking police heroes.
He also got to patrol in a department squad car, making his big day into a day in the life of the police.
The amazing effort and kindness of the department surely made the boy's birthday into an unforgettable experience.
And thanks to the cool customized gear and his new friends down at the station, Wheatley can carry on his dreams of being part of the department whenever he wants!
