Becoming a cop is not an easy task. The amount of training, both physically and mentally, is enough to make even the most energetic people lose their drive, but somehow every single year, people manage to pass the test and earn their badge to protect and serve the people of their community.
And while we might usually think of the brave men and women who put on their uniforms every single day, there are other members of the police that are a bit more fluffy than their fellow cops. We're of course talking about those fabulous K-9 units that are dogs on the beat!
These amazing animals are highly trained, fiercely loyal, and incredibly intelligent. The amount of training that goes into getting a dog to become a member of the police is no easy task, so when one is finally prepared to go on active duty, they deserve a special swearing in just as much as any human does!
So when Pilot, the newest member of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office finally had his special day, he bravely got up in front of the whole crowd, and swore his solemn oath to serve and protect to the best of his ability!
Congratulations, Pilot! Something tells us that you're going to make a pretty amazing police officer.
