Back in 2012, we saw a different type of polyamorous family than we might be used to seeing.
There are scripted and reality television shows focused on families with one husband with multiple wives and children.
But for Jiah, John, and Ian, their life is just the opposite.
Jiah and John were in a committed relationship for years, but when Jiah decided that she wanted a baby, John was not ready.
He ended up suggesting to her that she find another lover, and she jumped at the chance.
She found Ian, and they soon had a son, Amen. But the surprising part of it all is that John stuck around.
The two men share Jiah, and the love they have for her. It's not always easy, but it's worth it to them.
Jiah herself believes she shouldn't be stuck with finding "the one," she can have as many "ones" as she wants because not all love is the same.
This family is unorthodox and rare, but it seems as if this little boy is as happy as can be.
As long as they're being healthy and their son is loved, who are we to judge? It seems as if they're aware of the many stigmas and controversies that might follow them, but they're willing to work through things together to make themselves happy.
