It's easy to assume that Ellen DeGeneres is one of the most generous people on TV. Her kind spirit and loving heart, paired with her sense of humor, make it almost impossible to not adore her.
But do you ever wonder if she's still the same person when the cameras disappear? Sometimes, with TV personalities and movie stars like her, it's hard to tell if it's all just an act they put on for the audience, or if it really does come from somewhere deep down inside of her soul.
I think that it's safe to assume that, yes, Ellen really is that lovely. How do I come to this conclusion, you might ask.
She goes through so much effort to make the lives of her guests so much better on every single show. Plus, when she laughs, you can just tell that her joy is real.

When wife Portia De Rossi met Ellen, she was going through some personal struggles. She's spoken openly about her lifelong battle with eating disorders, and Ellen couldn't have walked into her life at a better time. When you hear what De Rossi has to say about Ellen's true self, you may just shed a tear right along with her.
