When you have a pet, it can be a little nerve wracking and even a little scary to think about introducing them to another animal. Whether you are setting them up on a playdate with another friend's pet, or bringing a new pet home for the first time, you never really know how they will act when they have to share the spotlight, or worse yet…their toys and food!
Typically, the stress and anxiety will quickly go away after a little sniffing session, and you will realize there was never anything to worry about.
We have even seen animals of totally different species become best buds like the cat and pig who love nothing more than cuddling up together for a nap, and the lion cub who acts as babysitter to a few adorable little meerkats, so we know it's not totally unusual for different animals to take a liking to one another.
Although adorable, when it comes to mixing domestic and wild animals together, it is better left up to the professionals.
That's why this family, who gets daily visits from raccoons on their way to and from home each day, has strictly forbidden their cat, Romeo, from playing outdoors when cuties like Gracie stop by.
Even though the two can't physically play together, they do have fun chatting each other up through the window, and giving each other high fives on the glass!
