After This Military Family Lost Their Son To Cancer, They Got A Touching Surprise. I’m In Tears!

The Raffels were an ordinary, happy military family until they were hit with a huge blow: They learned their little boy Ryan had terminal leukemia and would not live for very long.

The Raffels were gutted, as any family would be. Ryan was only in kindergarten and the news that their son would be departing soon threw their family into chaos.

But, even in the pain and turmoil, the Raffels made Ryan's last moments as comfortable — and fun — as possible. They started a fundraiser and were able to get Ryan some of the most coveted toys out there, including a $400 LEGO Stars Wars Death Star.

After Ryan passed, the Raffels continued to support other young children with cancer through charity and toy drives. Talk about turning a painful event into something completely different.

Well, this family's story isn't over yet. Give Back Films and Udi's decided to, well, give something back to this family. No, it won't ever make up for what happened; nothing ever could. But when you see the way their faces light up at this wonderful surprise, there's no way you won't be brought to tears.
