The amazing relationships humans can develop with animals have been very well-documented throughout history.
Here at LittleThings, we know well how much an animal can change a person's life for the better, but as we've seen so many more times, one kind deed from a human can often be a helpless animal's only key to survival.
It's crazy to think there are some people out there who actually believe that animals are just unintelligent beasts, who have no thoughts or emotions. As you can see in incredible stories like this one about a man who was reunited with the elephant he cared for many years ago, animals remember a lot more than we give them credit for.
The following video shows us that even animals who we think of as dangerous can be full of surprises. Nuneaton and Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary in the U.K. is home to many red foxes who can not be reintroduced into the wild, because they have been rescued and domesticated by humans. One of these foxes is Dawn, who was rescued by a man named Geoff when she was just a newborn.
In this sweet clip, we see Geoff visit the now 7-year-old fox and let him know that she still loves him for saving her as a tiny cub. She can't get enough of his belly rubs and she really seems to remember her hero!
