Waitress Accidentally Takes Fake $20 Bill From Customer, So Cops Show Up At Work To Confront Her

It can't be more obvious when someone loves what they do. Life is too short to wake up to a job that is absolutely unbearable — not to mention that when you're happy, you make those around you happier as well.

Collette Divitto is a great example of this. She didn't let her disability stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming a baker.

In this situation, we have Colleen, a waitress at Red Robin who has dedicated her time to not only doing her job, but to building lifelong relationships with her customers.

On December 15, 2016, Colleen was walking into work when she was stopped by two cops in front of the restaurant to thank her for just that — she just didn't know it yet.

Not long before that day, Colleen had been paid with a counterfeit $20 bill. However, she didn't realize the money was fake until after the customers left. Time passed, and it seemed like the situation had faded.

So when the cops approached Colleen that one afternoon, she had a feeling why — but she couldn't believe it was still such a big deal. The cops apologized, but continued to guide her into the restaurant to deal with the situation. And what waited for her inside was the last thing Colleen ever thought would happen.
