The World Lost Another Legend: RIP Natalie Cole, Dead At 65

The world has lost another legend. R&B singer Natalie Cole has died at the age of 65.

The daughter of Nat King Cole, Natalie became a musical success in her own right during the 70s, with hit songs like "This Will Be" and "Inseparable." It wasn't until the 90s that she catapulted herself into iconic status after re-recording her father's classic songs. Unforgettable… with Love sold over seven million copies. On January 1, 2016, it was reported that Natalie passed away after suffering congestive heart failure on the evening of December 31.

There are countless performances we could post to honor Natalie's legend, but my favorite has to be the jaw-dropping video below. On October 27, 2011, Natalie stepped on stage at the 50th birthday celebration of famed saxophonist Igor Butman in Moscow. She was joined by the "ghost" of her father as together they performed a stunning duet of "Unforgettable" she originally recorded in 1991. I can't think of a better video to celebrate Natalie's life and incredible career.

One YouTube commenter says it best: "You are now singing this duet with your father in heaven…"

Rest in peace, Natalie. Please SHARE this performance with your friends on Facebook.
