Imagine a world where waterslides reach skyscraper proportions, the skies are clear enough to see deep into the universe, and where whales swing by to take a dip in Venice's canals. Can you picture it?
Well, so can artist Robert Jahns. And not only does he imagine these dreamy scenarios, he also creates them in the real world, by way of digital photo manipulation and Instagram.
His colorful, surreal photos are certainly dreamlike, and they evoke a sense of playfulness and wonder that take us back to childhood — complete with just a touch of uncertainty.
And along with each image, he also includes a short, but uplifting message that captures the feeling of the image perfectly.
The digital age has allowed photographers, artists, and Instagrammers alike to do more and more with snapshots, including building them into representations of an interior landscape or a personal dream world.
Some, like these space-bending examples, are soft and hazy. Jahns' are super-saturated with color and look like they're glowing.
