Ladies near and far are modeling long and lovely locks, often posting their pictures to social media with the caption “Long hair, don’t care.”
Of course, some folks take it to more of an extreme than others, like this cutie pie who got a stunning transformation on Tyra. And she’s hardly the only one to gain attention for her hairstyle…
Another real-life Rapunzel is making major waves on the internet, thanks to her luxurious crop of red-brown ripples.
Her name is Dashik Gubanova, and she’s a lifestyle guru and Instagram star from Russia. Her claim to fame is a lengthy wave of hair that reaches nearly to her ankles, and is featured prominently on her social media pages.
Whether it’s caught up in an intricate braid or cascading freely down her shoulders, Gubanova’s hair is truly a marvel!

Dashik Gubanova has hair that reaches nearly to her ankles!
She's been growing out her long locks for 13 years, and she says that her goal is to have hair that touches the floor.
Her young daughter, who shows up on her social media account from time to time, appears to be on a similar path.
Gubanova, who also goes by the name Dashik Freckle, is a Russian Instagram star who boasts more than 100,000 followers on the social media platform.
Followers mostly seem drawn by her rippling waves of hair, which, in addition to being extremely long, is very well cared for.
We imagine it's no easy task, but Gubanova seems to manage the process with ease.
She often poses for elegant photographs with her long hair unbound.
This boho-chic pose, featuring a pretty peasant dress, makes Gubanova look just like a princess out of a fairy tale!
Under the picture, followers left comments like, "You're amazing!! Real life mermaid" and "Just when I thought my hair was long."
She also makes a point of posting lots of videos of her long locks, to prove that it's not just good timing and lighting.
This video, recently posted, features Gubanova in a striped jumpsuit, running her hands through her hair.
The way the strands ripple perfectly into place makes it look almost magical!
In fact, her long mane almost resembles a sheet of silk more than it does hair.
She really brings new meaning to the phrase "curtain of hair" in this pose.
Seated on the edge of the bed with a book, her hair cascades off the side and pools on the ground.
Of course, she does take occasionally breaks from the long and flowing mermaid look.
Much like Rapunzel, she often binds her hair up in an elaborate (and very long!) braid.
Styling it like this presumably saves her a lot of extra brushing, and has the added bonus of doubling as a rope if she needs to help a prince rescue her!
It goes without saying that her hair flips are truly next-level.
In this video posted to Instagram, Gubanova starts by simply shaking out her bound hair from her braid.
When she goes to flip it over her shoulder, it makes for a massive falling cloud.
Frankly, it puts Ariel's out-of-the-ocean hair flip in The Little Mermaid to shame!
Gubanova's little daughter, meanwhile, has a seriously impressive scrunchie to fill once she grows up!
Of course, there's a good chance she'll decide to go for shorter hair as she gets older.
That said, we can't help but hope she'll continue her mama's eccentric and gorgeous legacy!
