This Cover Of A Classic Red Hot Chili Peppers Song Strips Down The Iconic Sound

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are known for creating an iconic sound inspired by their Southern California upbringing. There's no mistaking a song of theirs as soon as you hear frontman Anthony Kiedis' vocals croon his emotional lyrics backed up by the pumping bass guitar of Flea. They've filled concert halls and airwaves for decades, but this group of young women from Russia have put an adorable new twist on the band's rock vibe.

Equipped with just a ukulele, a small tambourine, and a trombone, the trio re-creates the classic, "Can't Stop," off the band's 2002 album, By the Way. They look a little strange standing around in their kitchen with the unusual instruments, but the way they transform the song is undeniably unique.

For those of you who were either lucky enough to attend one of RCHP's shows back in the '90s or simply heard about it on MTV, you'll know they were big fans of stripping down for their performances. By which I mean, literally wearing only a sock to cover their, ahem, unmentionables while they rocked out on stage. These ladies do kind of the same thing with the music itself; stripping it down to the bare essentials.

It's a perfect nostalgia update you can SHARE with your friends!
