Sometimes, it's the biggest dogs who are the most gentle of all — also, the biggest babies. This adorable Mastiff puppy named Sampson wanted to join his family for some summer fun in the pool. The only problem? He didn't know how to swim!
Back in 2012, Sampson was a big baby when it came to the water. Scared to death he would cling to his dad, Stephen, for dear life. In the video below, he was only 8 months old, but he already weighed a whopping 120 pounds.
A few days later, Dad got back into the pool with his gentle giant and encouraged him to do some swimming by himself. Little by little, Sampson improved and felt more comfortable in the water. A year after Stephen posted his first video of Sampson swimming, he posted another video update — and what a difference a year makes! These days, Sampson jumps into the pool with ease and splashes around like a little kid.
It's amazing that we get to watch Sampson taking his first dip into the pool. Dad is so careful with him, and Mom made sure to capture it all on camera as she cheers him on. I love how "I Will Always Loved You" softly plays in the background. It couldn't be a more fitting song 🙂
Enjoy, and please SHARE this awesome moment with your friends on Facebook!
