People use the term "bird brain" as an insult, but judging by how smart this seagull is, it should really be a compliment. A Welsh man found this cute little bird and gave him some food. Don't ask me how, but he then managed to train the gull to "dance" on command. I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself!
We've seen seagulls do this cute little jig before, but normally, they aren't just dancing to whatever song is stuck in their head. This gull is using the pitter-patter of his feet to mimic the vibrations of rain to convince worms to come out of the ground so he can eat them. Pretty smart, huh? The bird in this video has probably figured out that tap dancing will get him food (even if it's bread and not worms), but it's even cooler than he does it when the man tells him to.
If this guy trained this wild seagull to dance like this in just a few minutes, imagine what he could accomplish in a few months! This bird could probably learn to boogie down even better than this cockatoo that has better rhythm than most humans I know. I never really paid much attention to seagulls unless they were annoying me or trying to steal my lunch, but after seeing this video, I have a whole new level of respect for them.
Don't you just love this dancing little bird? SHARE this video with all your friends so he can charm them, too!
