Whether you purchase or start renting a home, it's important to find out everything you can about it. You never know what kind of secrets that house or apartment may be hiding, and unfortunately not all of them are pleasant surprises. One mom and her daughter had no idea why they had been feeling sick for months until they found a secret room where dangerous toxic mold was growing. And another group of college students somehow missed the fact that a perfect stranger was living in a secret room inside their house!
Now, another woman discovered a surprise hidden in her home, and this one is quite the find! One of the woman's friends posted a series of photos of the discovery on the website Imgur, and now many are looking through every nook and cranny in their homes in hopes of finding a similar treasure.
Once you see the incredible revelation, there's no doubt you'll be amazed by how well it was preserved, and even wonder how long it's been tucked away.

Imgur user madhats86 posted an astounding series of photos on the popular website. The user's friend wanted to tear out some old carpeting in her home and replace it, but she made a surprising discovery under that old carpet: a cellar door.
When she opened the trap door, there were a set of stairs, so she decided to explore the secret depths of her home.
The stairs looked very old, and probably haven't been used in a very long time.
But at the bottom of the stairs, she found rows and rows of mason jars.
While many of them were empty, some of the jars were filled with a variety of contents. One of the home's previous residents perhaps liked pickling foods and keeping the food in storage down in the cellar.
All the mason jars have collected dust over the years, but up close, each and every one are truly incredible, even beautiful. The entire collection is utterly amazing!
