Sea lions are known for their intelligence, playfulness, and noisy barking. While sea lions typically gather to the delight of tourists, they aren't always ready for all the attention.
During a recent trip, a guy was dared by his close friends to take a selfie with one of the sea lions lounging on the rocks outside La Jolla Cove in San Diego, CA. He realized that this sort of thing really never happens, so he decided to accept their challenge.
At first, he tries to talk to the mammal. But when he got closer to the wild animal and tried to snap a photo, this sea lion started barking at the man. The startled guy freaked out and jumped up immediately. This poor guy definitely got the hint.
This sea lion just wasn't ready for its close up today. Sea lions are often anything but shy when it comes to their terrain. One playful baby sea lion cuddled with guy while another hilariously tried to argue with a lounging tourist near the waterfront.
This guy had no idea the sea lion would be so vocal — and rest assured, this will be a day he will never, ever forget.
