A pregnant woman in Jacksonville, FL, was struggling to pay her college tuition when she had a clever idea. She found a way to use her pregnancy to her advantage: by selling her positive pregnancy tests online.
She created a post on Craigslist, a classified advertisements website, selling her positive pregnancy tests for $25 each. The woman, who wants to stay anonymous, told Action News Jax that she makes up to $200 per day selling her pregnancy tests.
The woman never asks about what the buyers are going to do with the tests — she says she doesn't need or want to know, she just needs the money.
"This woman isn’t the first person to sell a positive pregnancy test online; it’s a trend that’s been going on for years," Action News Jax reports.
"Some women advertise it to simply play a prank or as a way to get a guy to pop the question."
The advertisement, which has since been removed from Craigslist, said: "Very self explanatory I am 3 months and I am providing a product in which the consumer is able to purchase positive pregnancy tests or urine for your own use."
"Whether you are using it for your own amusement such as a park [sic], or to blackmail the ceo of where ever who you are having an affair with I DONT CARE AT ALL this is an absolutely no questions asked type of deal tell me what you need I provide it for monetary exchange."
After looking for jobs she could do while pregnant, she read about other women selling their pregnancy tests and it seemed like an easy way to make money.
And at $200 per day, it seems like she's getting her money's worth.
