New Jersey Server Got ‘Zero’ Tip And Angry Note From Customers Over Seating Time Limit

During the pandemic, many restaurants around the country put time limits on how long customers could spend inside their establishments. That's because, at 50% capacity, restaurants needed a faster turnover in order to stay in businesses.

A brewery in Morristown, New Jersey, has implemented 90-minute time limits on parties seated at tables. One Friday evening, a group of four sat down at Beth's table and ordered $86 in food.

Later on during their meal, Beth came over and reminded them that they were already about an hour and 20 minutes into their limit.

Let's just say the customers were not pleased with this.

When Beth collected the bill, she discovered that while these customers paid the $86, they left her no tip whatsoever.

Beth, who works two server jobs and is studying for her doctorate in nursing, literally could not afford to go without tips during the pandemic.

Actually, there was something written on the "tip" line …

Beth's friend was so outraged on her behalf that she posted a photo of the angry receipt on social media. Before they knew it, donations for her were pouring in — and it's what Beth is doing with the extra money that makes this story so sweet.
