When Hallie Bibeau slammed on her brakes in the middle of the highway one afternoon, she did it to avoid hitting a family of ducklings. Driving her car into the median and parking, Hallie realized that their mother had been hit and was dead. Instead of driving away, Hallie called 911, but while she was waiting for the cops to arrive, she noticed that a few of the ducklings tried to cross the road on their own and ended up getting hit themselves.
Unable to not do anything, Hallie got out of her car and managed to save two of the ducklings. But as soon as she did so, a cop pulled over and gave her a $100 ticket for parking in the median. According to the officer and the local police department, the median is only there for true emergencies, and they don't consider saving a family of ducklings an emergency!
Hallie is contesting the ticket, and says that even if she has to pay, she'd do it again.
What's your opinion? She should have to pay the ticket?
