She Was Sick Of People Calling Her Fat. Here’s Her Response.

A young model who strives to break the mold with her swimsuit line. A mother who spoke out after she was ridiculed for wearing a bikini to the beach. More and more, we're seeing strong women stand up for themselves, and for anyone who struggles with body image and the stigma attached to size.

Young people face a ton of scrutiny when it comes to body size and appearance, which can be detrimental in all areas of life. According to Health Day, a 2012 survey of teenagers in weight-loss programs found that "64 percent had been teased or bullied because of their weight, and although the lion's share of teasing came from their peers some of the perpetrators have included parents, teachers and coaches."

For her video entitled, "Love Your Body," Tatiana writes: "I made this video after I had gotten undressed for the day. I wanted to talk about me and my body and my journey with loving myself. I hope that you all begin to love yourselves, no matter what anyone else tells you."

Tatiana's thousands of followers love her for her video blogs, where she talks about her daily life, and everything from relationships to pop culture. This particular video stands out because it tackles self-image head on, and leaves her particularly vulnerable to negative comments and criticism.

"All that matters is how you feel about yourself. The ability for me to come out here with my stomach out just being myself — being a real person — is kind of scary… but at the end of the day, those mean words are not stuck to me."

I personally think Tatiana is an amazing woman, and the way she speaks is so much more important than the way she looks.
