According to the order of operations, you should do things in the following order: parentheses, exponents, multiplication and division, and addition and subtraction.
Since there are no parentheses or exponents in the original problem, the first thing you should address is the multiplication. By multiplying 2 x 0, you get 0.
Now you can move on to the addition. When you add the number "2" twelve times and add in the number "0" from your multiplying, you get a total of 24.

Each animal represents a different number. Can you figure out what you get when you add the dog, the cat, and the bird?
Click below when you think you know the answer!
If you take the square root of 16 in the first equation, you can figure out that “dog = 4.”
Then, when you divide 36 by 4, you get that “cat x cat = 9.” Since the square root of 9 is 3, then “cat = 3.”
If you divide 72 by 4, then by 3, you find that “bird = 6.”
So 4 + 3 + 6 = 13!
