There have been so many public service announcements about texting or drinking while driving.
The reasons are endless, but the main point is that these horrible distractions could end up killing you or someone else.
There is never a text, a drink, or a saved cab fare that is worth the risk of changing your life, or someone else's.
But continually we see that people don't take it seriously.
News stories about horrific crashes continue to flood TV and newspaper stories, and we're all waiting for something to change.
Although the video you're about to see has nothing to do with texting or drinking, it has everything to do with the seriousness of operating a vehicle, and how easily you can lose control.
This young man, Travis Carpenter, was recording himself singing while driving.
It appears that he had two hands on the wheel, and was looking at the road, just with a phone propped up to record the ride.
So it seems as if he wasn't any more distracted than any of us who, naturally, belt it out in the car.
But he still lost control of his car.
He luckily got out unharmed, but this is a great example of just how easily things can go wrong and just how much you should practice safe driving.
Imagine if he looked at his phone, or had alcohol in his system. It would have only been worse.
Singing might not be considered a distraction, but this proves just how much a split second can affect your life.
