Your friendly neighborhood sanitation worker isn't usually a person we pay attention to. We tend to think of garbage men as rough and sturdy men, who are willing to do the dirty work that we aren't comfortable with. But that's often not the case! These individuals care for our comfort and happiness, and are incredibly generous. There's a reason why children love them so much — and they love them back, even giving them gifts showing their gratitude!
But they're not just bonding with kids on their routine pickup. One very lively garbage man in Elk Grove also happens to be a singer, and he's entertaining entire neighborhoods with his tunes and his lovely voice. Who would have known that he was such a fantastic singer?
In fact, Robert Trant is so good that he will be singing the National Anthem on the Fourth of July for a large crowd, and it's quite the honor.
But until then, Trant continues making his own little songs and tunes he sings while at work — and just listen to him: he's very talented indeed. We wouldn't mind if he came by our neighborhood!
