Motherhood was always something Katie always wanted, but she was born without a uterus. She grew up knowing that the only way she could have a baby would be through a gestational carrier. When Katie married Jarod, the couple debated over how they would finally start their family in College Station, TX.
Enter Katie's little sister Courtney, who, at the young and strong-willed age of 18, took it upon herself to become her sister's surrogate. Katie and Jarod were blown away by Courtney's selfless decision. Together, Katie and Courtney banded together as sisters to make the pregnancy go as smoothly as possible. Katie gave Courtney her fertility shots and was part of the entire journey. "I want her to feel the baby move as much as she can, I want her to see the growth, I want her to be around for every part of it," Courtney said.
Now, Aunt Courtney and 2-year-old Jace share a special bond — but she wasn't done giving. Courtney wanted to give Jace a sibling, and she knew in her heart that Katie wanted to have a bigger family. So, Courtney decided to become a surrogate for the couple again — only this time, another big surprise was in store.
