Irish TV personality and food writer Donal Skehan took a trip to California with his family and dog, Max. There, they decided to get together and take a family photo to make a lasting memory.
Then, just as they jumped up and posed for the shot, Max decided to do his own thing — at the expense of Donal's dad. Luckily, he's OK, but nobody in the family — or on the internet — will ever forget this picture.

This is Donal Skehan. He's a beloved Irish TV personality, food writer, and most importantly, a dog owner.
This is his adorable dog, Max. When Donal went on a recent trip to California with his wife, Sofie, he brought his four-legged best friend with him.
Donal's parents came along too. Together, they decided to take a family photo in front of the Painted Ladies, famed houses in San Francisco.
Little did the family know, their portrait wasn't going to go exactly as planned — Max was going to ruin it in an instant!
The three Skehans wanted to jump up in front of the Painted Ladies to create a cool jumping shot. By putting a twist on the traditional family portrait, however, they got more than they'd bargained for.
When they all jumped up, so did Max. But the overzealous dog took a bite out of Donal's dad's shorts in the process!
Donal shared the incredible picture on Instagram, and as of September 26, 2017, it has nearly 14,400 likes. People all over the internet can't get enough of this Skehan family photo and Max's special appearance.
Luckily, Dad is OK!
"I can safely report that Max and Dad are still best of pals — my dad would like it pointed out that he was wearing low crotched shorts and that Max has a very gummy bite and that the family jewels are all still in tact!" Donal wrote in a second Instagram post. "The Christmas cards are gonna look great this year — Family photo gold!"
