If you've ever been skiing, you know the chairlift usually moves at a very slow and safe speed.
There is a railing in front of you, usually, and as long as you're not acting crazy, you'll almost definitely be just fine as you travel up to the top of the mountain.
But that doesn't mean there aren't freak accidents.
This snowboarder was on a chairlift going up Mount Ashland in Oregon when somehow, someway, he fell off.
He was stranded, dangling upside down by (what looks like) the laces of his boot!
Looking at this scenario is enough to give you the chills, so I can't imagine how he was feeling as he swung there helplessly.
Thankfully, the footage also captures the end result of the traumatic experience.
The rescuer climbs up the pole nearby, somehow grabs a hold of the man dangling, and pulls him to the ladder.
But as people wait below with something to catch the man if he were to fall, the rescuer then releases his footing from the lift and his legs go flying into the pole.
Thankfully, his arm strength holds out and he is able to get down safely. But this video would make any mountain man or woman's jaw drop.
