When it comes to finding surprises in your kitchen, what happens in this next video is probably at the bottom of anyone's list.
A Charlotte, North Carolina couple was shocked to go into their kitchen and find an intruder stealing their food. Unlike this friendly bear who was polite enough to come to this family's window to ask for a snack, a snake slithered his way into the Neffs' home while no one was watching. Laura Neff told The Washington Post she and her husband were in their living room when they heard a loud "bang" coming from their kitchen. "We have an open floor plan, so as I walked from the living room through the dining room toward the kitchen, I noticed a cinnamon jar on the floor. That caused my gaze to go up to the spice cabinet, which is when I was VERY shocked to see the [four-foot] black rat snake descending toward the basket of eggs!"
Obviously, the couple's first reaction was to pull out their camera phone and start filming the bizarre and creepy event. The Neffs wrote on YouTube that they watched as the non-venomous rat snake devoured an entire egg whole before capturing it with two brooms and sent it on its way outside. They believe the snake slithered its way through a hole in their laundry room floor which they have since covered up.
All I can say is that if this happened in my house, I don't think I'd be as calm as this couple. You have to give them credit for showing the egg thief mercy, unlike the crazy bear-punching man in this viral video.
