We've seen some truly amazing snow sculptures on the Internet before. From the simple snowman to the more elaborate projects, creating something beautiful out of snow can be a quite magical thing to behold.
So imagine our delight when we came across this latest video from the Bartz Brothers of Minnesota. Austin, Trevor, and Connor Bartz have dabbled in snow creations before, crafting some really cool sculptures out of the fluffy white stuff. They've tackled a snow walrus, a snow puffer fish, and a giant snow shark in the past — but their latest creation might just be the coolest (and most impressive) of them all.
With frigid temperatures hitting the Minnesota area, conditions were perfect for the Bartz Brothers to begin building what would eventually become a 12-foot-tall giant snow sea turtle. To mark the occasion, they even set up a camera to capture a stunning time lapse video that shows the full progression of creating the seafaring creature.
It's amazing to see a huge mount of snow slowly transform into what looks just like a living, breath sea turtle with a beautifully segmented shell, scales, and an unmistakable head. We're not sure how long a massive snow sculpture like this would last in the Minnesota environment, but thanks to the magic of time lapse video, we can treasure it forever on YouTube. How cool!
