I Wear Jeans Almost Every Day & These ‘Butt-Sculpting’ Jeans From Walmart Are My New Faves

For a very long time, I refusedto wear jeans. In elementary and middle school, I believed jeans were uncomfortable, scratchy, and stiff. As a competitive gymnast, stretch was the most important thing to me, so most days I wore leggings or other pants that I deemed sufficiently comfy.

That all changed in eighth grade. It was right around the time skinny jeans came into style, and I found a pair that felt almost exactly like leggings. Since then, jeans have been a staple in my wardrobe.

Nowadays, I wear jeans almost every day. From skinny jeans to jeggings to boyfriend jeans to boot-cut jeans, I've got them all. I wear them with sandals in the summer, tennis shoes in the spring, and boots in the fall and winter. It's safe to say I LOVE jeans.

That said, jeans shopping is still a struggle. Although I have many pairs of jeans, they almost all come from the same few stores. I'm always searching for other good jeans, but I haven't had a ton of luck. Recently, though, I was introduced to Sofía Vergara's line of jeans that are sold exclusively at Walmart . I knew I had to try out these "butt-sculpting" jeans for myself.

The Jeans

These are the Sofía Vergara jeans I'm talking about. They come in sizes 0 to 22, and they're available in three colors: light, medium, and dark. They also come in two lengths: regular and long.

I opted for the light version, since most of the jeans I already own are medium or dark wash. The jeans looked true to size, so I went with 6, which is my usual size.

They're only $24.50, which is a great deal for jeans!

These jeans have amazing customer reviews. More than 80 people have given them five stars on Walmart. Check out some of these stellar reviews:

“I loved the jeans. I put them on and they fit perfect right away. I didn’t have to tug and pull or adjust or sew. I went online and ordered more right away!”

“These jeans are awesome! It’s my first pair of high-waisted jeans and I was nervous that it would be uncomfortable (because I’m not exactly lacking in my mid-section), but these are soooo comfortable! They have a lot of stretch, but haven’t gotten baggy. They are cute and I am very impressed!”

"These jeans are unreal. So comfortable and flattering. Im the type that never wears jeans and i honestly cant rememver the last time i loved the way i looked in jeans and these did it! I will recommend these over and over."

"I was skeptical but these jeans are amazing for the price. Lots of stretch, they're soft, true to size, love the different shades available and cuts at the ankle."

My Experience

When I first got my hands on the jeans, I was impressed by how soft they were. I put them on and immediately loved the fit. They were stretchy and comfortable, but still felt supportive. The jeans were definitely true to size — I'm glad I didn't go with a 4 or 8.

The jeans reached to just above my ankles, with a trendy ripped look. They're high-waisted, coming up to about my belly button. Because they're stretchy, the waist felt super comfortable — secure, but not restrictive.

Butt-Sculpting?

OK, so let's get into the real question here: Are the jeans butt-sculpting? In my mind, butt-sculpting implies that my butt would look perkier, tighter, and more sculpted than they do in other jeans.

The short answer is no, the jeans didn't feel particularly butt-sculpting. Although I felt that my butt looked good in these jeans, I didn't think my butt felt much different than it usually does in jeans.

I can't deny, however, that from some angles my butt looked really good (sorry not sorry for being a little self-involved). As I wear the jeans more, they'll probably stretch more, thus reducing their sculpting ability.

Stretch Factor

Now for the most important jeans test (at least in my opinion): the stretch factor. Like I said, I like jeans that are super stretchy. If I can't sit on the floor in them comfortably, I'll never wear them. Clearly, these jeans pass the stretch test!

I sat in three different positions on the floor (and later when I got home, I sat on the couch to see how they measured up). This is probably my favorite aspect of these jeans: They're comfortable as heck!

Final Thoughts

Do I like these jeans? Yes, I've worn them multiple times already! Are they the most amazing jeans I've ever owned? No, but they're the best jeans I've ever found at this price point! I'll probably buy some of the other colors/styles when my other jeans get worn out.

Would I recommend them to a friend? Absolutely. If you're looking for an affordable and super-comfortable pair of jeans, these are a great option.
