But when Soldier Wigberto Vazquez came home to surprise his unsuspecting girlfriend of two years, Annalisa Boscoe, his arrival wasn't the only surprise he had up his sleeve. Little did Annalisa know, Vazquez planned something extra special and popped the big question in front of a large crowd of locals at the shops in Wesley Chapel, FL.
Vasquez planned for Annalisa to be called onstage under the guise she had won some shopping mall gift cards at a holiday event. While she was receiving her gifts, the biggest surprise of her life turned the corner.
Vasquez had been overseas for seven months, and Annalisa had been anxiously awaiting his return, although she had no clue that he would show up while she was at the shopping mall! Unfortunately, the work of a soldier is never done, and Vazquez was redeployed after the big proposal — but his new fiancé had plenty to keep her busy with planning the wedding of her dreams!
When a solider comes home from overseas, it's always a happy moment for those they leave behind. Just like this father who surprised his children, civilian family members being surprised by their loved ones makes what these honorable servicemen and women do even more admirable.
