Life hasn't been easy for 26-year-old Mary Pat Seiss. With her younger brother attending college away from home, and her older brother serving in the United States Army, it's hard for her being the only one left at home. And with her battle with cancer still in full swing, it's everyone's hope that Mary Pat will get better soon.
This isn't the only time she's been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was first diagnosed at the age of 6, and relapsed at the age of 9. She relapsed for a third time 10 years after that, and is still fighting the disease.
Despite this hardship, Mary Pat finds joy in helping others and spending time with family. And it was when she was helping bake a cake for a little girl with cancer that she received the surprise of a lifetime.
At the Oakmont Bakery in Pennsylvania, Mary Pat and her colleagues spent the day baking this cake. When it came time to present it to the little girl, they walked out of the kitchen. But it wasn't a child who Mary Pat saw, but her older brother, Robert, who had flown from Fort Bragg just to surprise her. And that's not all: the nonprofit Jamie's Dream Team, who organized the surprise, even presented the siblings with a trip to Disney World!
