Military training is no joke. The hours and hours of physical and mental endurance training aren't something that everybody can go through. To be a soldier, you have to be brave, resilient, and driven.
But that doesn't mean that soldiers can't also have fun every now and then. To help break up all of the seriousness, soldiers in training have to find ways to de-stress and have fun. Plus, having fun with a group of people is one of the best ways to bond and become closer. That sense of camaraderie is something that is almost as important as the physical drills.
When Bravo Company, 100th Infantry Battalion/442nd Infantry Regiment sat down for a break during bi-lateral training in the Philippines, they decided to have a little bit of fun, while also putting on a show for their fellow soldiers. This is a unit based in American Samoa, and they show their pride to the soldiers watching on with smiling faces.
This is an awesome testament to the diversity in our country and in our military. It's amazing to celebrate the many different cultures of America, and this is such a beautiful example of that. The look on the soldier's face at 2:48 sums up the joy of this moment perfectly.
