Rollie the southern three-banded armadillo is not exactly what you'd call cute in the traditional sense – but watching him play with his toys reminds me of a kitten playing, and so I think he's just as adorable! Just because an animal doesn't look the way you'd expect, doesn't mean they don't have their good points! And this little guy certainly looks as sweet as anything!
While this guy has a home at the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park in Green Bay, WI, southern three-banded armadillos are actually threatened in the wild because of habit destruction and the pet trade. So while he's definitely adorable (in his own way), armadillos really aren't supposed to be pets! If you ever seen one in a pet store, make sure you let someone know – it's probably illegal!
At least we know this little guy is safe and taken care of in all the right ways!
