It Looks Like A Shelf…Until She Moves It. 6 Seconds Later, It’s Something TOTALLY Different!

Moving into a small space can be daunting. We tend to accumulate so much stuff as human beings without even realizing!

When we take the big step (or leap) to transition our lives somewhere new, the process is difficult enough without wondering — where am I going to put all of this stuff?!

Fortunately, things like the tiny house movement, or this food truck turned home or this small space saving apartment, can inspire us to make the most out of our circumstance. Instead of focusing on the space we don't have, it's better to optimize the space we do have.

That's a lesson I've learned from Spanish architects PKMN who turned designer Yolanda's small home, that used to belong to her grandmother, into something so much more.

With fluidly designed furniture, one room can now function as everything from a workout space to a workspace and from a kitchen to a living room.

The design is truly masterful and will have you screaming, "I want on of those."

PKMN, who created this project called The All I Own House, discussed their intentions: "Each of our possessions has its own private story, a memory associated to it and, just the same way in which we grow and change, our personal belongings change, we get rid of some stuff but we resist losing much of it, we could easily picture ourselves through our possessions."
