I don't know about you, but I've definitely been in the position where I wish I could befriend all of the woodland creatures out in my parents' backyard. I never got too much into Disney princesses, but I was decidedly jealous of Snow White's relationship with the creatures of the forest. There's honestly nothing I wanted more than to be able to hang out with all of the adorable critters.
In reality, though, it's always better to leave the wild animals to their own business. They're better off living on their own in their natural environments, unless they're injured or abandoned as young. It would be terrible to try and take one into your home and keep it away from all of the tall trees and big open spaces that they're so used to.
But there are some wild animals that take it upon themselves to befriend us humans. Some of them have grown so accustomed to seeing us that they're not afraid to walk right up to us and maybe ask for a treat. The lucky few people that get to cherish these interactions are some of the most blessed among us.
When this woman below noticed a squirrel getting closer than most, she decided to see if he wanted to be her friend. This little one has become an outdoor pet of sorts. He fends for himself in his natural environment, but he also loves to have these adorable little boxing matches with his human friend almost every day.
Please SHARE with your family and friends on Facebook if you've also never seen a squirrel act this way!
