You're about to meet an incredible woman who decided to take a stand. This success story is one she says started from within.
Stacey was tormented in school. Her classmates called her "fat" on a regular basis. She spent her teenage years yo-yoing on the scale, trying every diet, and getting discouraged when she fell off track. On more than one occasion, she lost 100 pounds, only to put it back on.
One day, Stacey had had enough. She felt newfound inspiration while watching singer Carnie Wilson discuss her own weight struggles on "Oprah." It was then she decided to gave her lifestyle a complete overhaul, and never look back. She started doing DDPYOGA (described as a cardio, strength and flexibility program). In her words, she "stopped drugging myself with food, and started paying attention to who I really am."
At this point, many people would haven give up. That's why I couldn't believe it when Stacey continued her story, saying she went on to dedicate herself to the great challenge before her. Wait until you see Stacey by the end of this video, after she lost nearly 200 pounds. The side-by-side comparison of her at the very end? I mean, come on! This is remarkable! Just like Cheryl and Tessa, a mother-daughter duo who teamed up to lose weight, together.
In the end, Stacey lost 180 pounds without dieting, drugs, or pummeling her self-esteem. "Believe it or not, there was no battle involved," she says. "Just balance."
