These Four Ingredients Can Make Your Yellow-Stained Pillows Like New

We all have them. Those embarrassing, unsightly yellow stains on our pillows. While it's easy to think that a little drool causes them, it's actually sweat. The body regulates its temperature even in our sleep, so when we sweat onto our pillows over time, the sweat turns into that horrible yellow color. Jillee from One Thing By Jillee considered throwing her yellow pillows away until she came up with this secret recipe laundry hack to get rid of the stains.

"If your pillows have yellowed since you bought them, it's probably time to give them a good washing! It is actually recommended that you wash your pillows at least twice a year," she said. "This process will restore your pillows to their former glory, plus it's good for your personal hygiene!"

All you need is your washer, borax, dish detergent, laundry detergent, and chlorine bleach to get those pillows bright and white. She recommends pouring a pot of boiling hot water into the washer, or using its hottest setting. Place the ingredients inside the washer until they dissolve. Then place the pillow in the washer and set it onto the second rinse cycle. If you don't have a second rinse cycle, you can just cycle the pillows twice.
