Here Are The ‘Rise Of Skywalker’ Toys Every Star Wars-Obsessed Kid Will Want This Year

Now that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is officially out, we can get down to the question that is sure to be at the top of every 10-year-old's mind: How the heck do I get my hands on a remote-controlled D-O droid? Or at least, that was the third thing my kid said after we walked out of our 6 p.m. showing last night.

The folks at the Star Wars marketing team are both clever and terrible. Clever, because they released the movie before the holidays officially begin, and that at least gives us parents a few days to buy whatever thing our kid just has to have. Terrible, because they released the movie only a few days before the holidays begin, which means we have only a few days to buy whatever our kid just has to have. Thanks, George.

Since I naturally found myself buying a remote-controlled D-O about five minutes after my kid fell asleep last night, I figured there might be other parents and grandparents scrambling to figure out which Rise of Skywalker toys they should try to nab as well.

There are, of course, options. Not everything has been released (I searched and searched, but couldn't find Rey's lightsaber anywhere yet), but there's still a lot to pick from that's pretty exciting. The Lego builder in the house will be super excited about the sets that are available, like the Pasaana Speeder Chase Hovering Transport Speeder, the Resistance Y-Wing Starfighter (that's actually at the top of my kid's list!), and yet another version of the Millennium Falcon, because you can never have too many.

Action figures exist, but they're selling out quickly. Case in point: This model of Zorii Bliss is sold out on Target's site, but you can sign up to find out when the retailer will have more (and you can also see if it's in a store near you). Same goes for this Sith Jet Trooper.

P.S. You might also want to go ahead and snag your kid Luke's X-Wing pilot helmet. I won't tell you why  because spoilers, but let's just say it'll be a big hit with the Star Wars fan in your home.
