For anyone working in the food services industry, one customer can change your whole day. And for certain guests, you can do the same thing.
I'll never forget the little notes that customers used to leave on their receipts when I was working as a server during college. They really would make my day — it's always nice to know that your effort is appreciated!
And when you can give that same happiness back to your customers, it's even better.
Just look at this Taco Bell worker who was able to use sign language to communicate with a deaf customer. It's such an amazing and unexpected moment for the guest, and it certainly brought a moment of joy to both of them!
Then, there's this little boy who was being bullied in Chick-fil-A. The staff stepped in and made sure that the wheelchair-bound boy was having just as much fun as the other kids.
When you're working with people all day, these opportunities present themselves, and it's so amazing when you can take advantage of them.
For Krystal Payne, a Starbucks barista, her chance to make a difference came in the form of Ibby Piracha. Piracha is deaf, and so it isn't always easy for him to order when he's out.
Payne noticed Piracha, and after just one encounter, she decided that she was going to do something amazing.
