I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to this song the same way again.
Princess Mecca Romero and Chris Stanley are dancers at Helio's Dance Theater in California. While the thought of ballet might conjure up images of pink tutus and laced slippers, these two amazing performers don't require any fancy costumes or scenery to send chills down your spine. They dance to Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" in a simple dance studio wearing minimalistic clothing and still manage to deliver a moving performance that will change the way you think about pop music.
We've seen plenty of ballet dancers, such as Diana Vishneva, perform incredible choreography on their own, but there's something about this pair that tells me that no matter how amazing they are individually, they're even better together. Every movement is packed with emotion, and while the choreography is definitely sensual, they also portray the feelings of sorrow and desperation that drive the song. The passion alone reminds me of this dazzling dance performed by a very talented duo!
To top it all off, both of these dancers have some serious skills when it comes to contorting themselves and making every moment just right. The sequence they do at 1:29 seriously made me question the limits of the human body! I sure hope we see more from these two in the future, don't you?
